I finished 2023 reading, City of God, and I begin 2024 doing the same. I am reading this with a friend. We started in September 2023, commit to just five chapters each week, and share our gleanings via text. This time has been rich. I’ve kept all my notes and at this point (September 14, 2024), I have compiled 14,288 words in treasures pulled from this giant of the faith.
